NESHAP

While Asbestos is often associated with older buildings, Maricopa County’s NESHAP regulation applies to “all structures, installations or buildings that are or ever were institutional, commercial, public, industrial or residential parcel with four or more dwelling units."
This means that commercial building owners and their contractors are required to prove that a material does not have asbestos in it prior to doing a demolition in these types of structures.
RESA's AHERA-certified inspectors provide fast, thorough and cost effective asbestos surveys to help you maintain compliance and keep your workers and clients safe. You can find additional up-to-date information on NESHAP Regulations here.
