When a water loss occurs, sometimes the water can be contaminated. One example would be a toilet overflow. Water losses that involve contaminated water are often referred to as gray water (CAT II) or black water (CAT III) losses.

Some types of sampling RESA conducts include sewage screens, ATP and Legionella testing.
